Remarks 'lycode', adapted from the Latin genus name 'Lycodes' from Latin 'lycaon', i.e., Ethiopian wolf (Ref. 27887) from Greek 'lykos', i.e., wolf and 'odous', i.e., tooth (p. 121, Ref. 26921); 'polaire', i.e., 'polar', i.e., extremity, from Latin 'polaris' (here used as the species name) from 'polus' from Greek 'pĆ³los', i.e., axis of a sphere (p. 402, Ref. 11979).
