Remarks 'Sable', i.e., so called because of the soft, almost furry, feel of the dark skin (Ref. 9988); 'fish' from Germanic 'fiskaz' from same source as Latin 'piscis' from Indo-European word 'piskos' (p. 229 in Ref. 11979).
