Remarks 'Carangue' from Spanish 'caranga' borrowed from an indigenous American language (Ref. 9404); 'brun', i.e., brown, from Latin 'brunnus' of Germanic origin ('brun', German 'Braun', i.e., brown) (p. 223 in Ref. 11853). Name not listed in ASFIS version 2006 (Ref. 56807).
