Comments: Type locality of the holotype of Barbus pojeri: 'riv. Lukuga' (Ref. 89080). Known only from the Lukuga River, in the region of Albertville (=Kalemie) (Ref. 45485, 89080), and collected as far downstream as the Kisimba-Kilia rapids near Niemba (Ref. 93587).
