Family:  Oxudercidae (Mudskippers), subfamily: Periophthalminae
Max. size:  16.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Known only from Austalia.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished by the following characteristics: total elements in D2 24-28; length 27.0-29.8% SL ; length of D2 base 43.2-47.9% SL; first D2 element usually segmented and unbranched; longitudinal scale count 90-136; predorsal scales 30-53; lower jaw teeth notched (Ref. 5218).
Biology:  Amphibious air-breather (Ref. 31184).
