This moderately elongated species is distinguished by the following characters: live colouration with the upper part of nape dusky red; dorsal and anal fin bright red with dusky markings; pelvic fins bright red, dusky, and unmarked; caudal fin bright yellow basally with distal half bright red (Ref. 116593). |
This species apparently inhabits steep slopes comprised mostly of volcanic rubble (Ref. 116593). |
