Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Orinoco River basin and coastal rivers of French Guiana, Guyana and Suriname.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in rapidly flowing waters with a rocky bottom. Nocturnal or crepuscular (Ref. 12225).

Threat to humans:  harmless
