Diagnosis: |
Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 68-74; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 65-72. Jaws with outer row of numerous minute teeth and closely adjoining inner rows of sparse fang-shaped teeth. Upper jaw with additional inner band of minute teeth, separated from the series of fang-shaped teeth by 3 spaces. Trunk with 120-130 transverse rows of scales. Lower side of head and the lower surface of lower jaw, without scales; second dorsal fin with 57-62 rays. Gill rakers thin, slightly flattened. Abdominal cavity extends to above the base of 13th-14th rays of anal fin. Pyloric caeca 8-11. Paired fins more or less whitish (Ref. 45011). |
