Max. size:  20.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 20 - 35 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: endemic to Guadalupe Island, Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Usually found among algae in depths of 20-34 m, but sometimes among floating Sargassum. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205). Males may be mature at 12.5 cm SL.
