Family:  Balitoridae (River loaches)
Max. size:  5.92 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Laos, Cambodia and Viet Nam (including Dong Nai basin).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Pectoral fins with 10-12 simple and 10-13 branched rays; pelvic fins with 3-4 simple and 9-11 branched rays; origin of last pelvic rays 9.2-11.2% SL (Ref. 27732); distance between bases of last pelvic rays 2.2-2.4 times in body width at pectoral-fin origin (Ref. 42935).
Biology:  Occurs in rapids and fast flowing water, under large stones (Ref. 43281).

Country info:  Known from the Mekong and Dong Nai basins. Collected from Lam Dong Prov., River Dai Tan at village Lam Ha south of Da Lat and Kontum Prov., River Pako (Ref. 42935). Also Ref. 43281.
