This demersal species lives offshore on continental shelf, probably occasionally shallower; caught incidentally in trawl and net fisheries; llfe history unknown (Ref. 114953). Maximum length for females of similar form, possibly up to 49.8 cm WD (Ref. 76959). |

Type locality, north of Cape Lambert, Western Australia, CSIRO H 1036-15 (holotype of Dasyatis parvonigra, 38.4 cm TL, adult male). Occurs on the outer continental shelf off northwestern Australia from north of Monte Bello Islands (19°39′ S, 115°36′ E) to north of Cape Lambert (19°06′ S, 117°09′ E), 124-183 m (Ref. 76959). |
