Occurrence of the species has been reported as far east along the southern Western Australian coast, possibly due to the southward-flowing Leeuwin Current; occurrence includes Green Pool in the William Bay National Park and Oyster Harbour in Albany (M. Prince, pers. Comm.). Including Lord Howe Island (Ref. 8879, 75154). Recorded from Shark Bay (Ref. 115274). Also Ref. 11230.
