Known from the mainstream of the Mekong River (Ref. 27732). Occurs in the Tonle Sap River and Great Lake (Ref. 33813) and in Beng-Cha, upper Mekong (Ref. 33021). Observed in Stung Treng market (Ref. 10431). From Kratie downstream to Kompong Cham, it is reported to migrate into smaller tributaries when water level begins to rise and returning to the Mekong mainstream when water levels starts to recede (Ref. 37770). Regularly sold in the markets of cities and towns along the Mekong river in northern Cambodia (Ref. 12693). Also Ref. 6376, 12255, 12693, 36654, 43281, 94476. In range Ref. 12041.
