Known from the south coast of Java, Bali and Lombok. In Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola, 1984 (Ref. 5978) a photo of this species, first collected during the JETINDOFISH survey of Indonesian waters, was mistakenly figured as Nemipterus tambuloides (p. 188,fig.) and the voucher specimen (TGT 2573, NTM S.11004-001) incorrectly identified as N. virgatus (p. 337) (Ref. 116612). |
