Occurs in Eastern Kamchatka, northeastern Kuril Islands (Ref. 9021), and eastern Sakhalin, and north to Anadyr Bay; reported to be very numerous off the Kommandorskie (Commander Is.) and Aleutian Islands (in Ref. 114081). Bottom trawl surveys in 2007 were made in the nothern part of Tatar Strait (depth of 18-614 m) and Peter the Great Bay (5-150 m depths) (Ref. 114081).
