Occurs in Monterey Bay (Ref. 12091). A local fishery in California exists for fresh fillets and dried fins (Ref. 6885). In the 1940's soupfin sharks were caught primarily for the vitamin A content in their livers (Ref. 6885). Also Ref. 276, 4925, 9072, 9987. |
