Found in the Orange River system: Tsoelikana, Moremoholo and Senqu Rivers (Ref. 2801). Recently found in the headwaters of the Malesunyane river, a tributary of Senqu (Morgan Smit, pers.comm.). Habitat restricted and subject to siltation; vulnerable to competition and predation by introduced trout (Ref. 7248). Also Ref. 26250, 27553. |
