Description: slender bodied; frontal profile rounded; mouth rather pointed and ventrally-oriented; caudal peduncle slender and relatively long (Ref. 52307).

Coloration: body olive, belly paler than back; black longitudinal stripe runs from eye to origin of caudal fin; reddish dots often visible in soft dorsal fin and occasionally in caudal fin; anal fin with several small, blackish dots; egg spots absent (Ref. 52307).
