Freshwater; benthopelagic; pH range: 6.5 - 7.2; non-migratory. Tropical; 20°C - 24°C (Ref. 2060); 4°S - 7°S
Africa: some brooks under forest cover between the Kwango River and the Gamba River, southeast of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 3788, 47461).
