| Quote | Bamber (1915) reported this species from the Red Sea, under its junior synonym Scorpaena longirostris Playfair & Günther, 1866 based on a misidentification. Randall (2005) did not include the Red Sea in its distribution range. In addition there is no confirmed record in the Red Sea (H. Motomura, perss comm.). |
