Épines dorsales (Total) : 7; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 21 - 23; Épines anales: 3; Rayons mous anaux: 17 - 18; Vertèbres: 26. One incomplete lateral line. Longitudinal scale series 50-51. No dermal flap or small tentacle dorsally on eye. Tubular anterior nostril when laid back reaching about half way to posterior nostril. Opercle without dark brown or black spot. Brown-edged pale stripe extending posteriorly from the lower part of eye to edge or preopercle. Pectoral fins extending beyond origin of anal fin. Many interconnected whitish blotches on body. Body with many interconnected whitish blotches. Snout, 5.4 - 5.75 in head. Caudal peduncle depth 3.2-3.6 in head; length 4.35-5.5 in head.
