Comments: Currently found only in the Nanwan River, a tributary of the Ruili River in Yunnan Province. Type locality, Nanwan River (a tributary of upper Irrawaddy), I km from Simenkan Village, Qingping Township, Longchuan County, Yunnan Province (Ref. 75599).

পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ) : 3; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ) : 7 - 8; পায়ূ কাঁটা : 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 9 - 10; কশেরুকা : 30. Can be diagnosed from all its congeners by the following characters: pre-dorsal scales 15-16; predorsal length 60.68% of SL; preanal length 65-71% of SL; eye diameter 27-38% of HL and 70-93% of inter-orbital width; and dorsal fin origin posterior to pelvic fin insertion (Ref. 75599).
