Comments: Recorded off Elafonissus Island. The speculated reasons for success in establishment are the long pelagic larval stage which enable their crossing of long distances (Ref. 43448). Found in Elafonissos Island and Kolimbia Bay, Rhodes Island (Ref. 88168). National Marine Park of Zakynthos - NMPZ (eastern Ionian Sea, Greece) 37.701˚N, 20.939˚E; 37˚ 06’ 47’’ N, 20˚ 08’ 18’’ E (Ref. 95646). Also Ref. 43448.

Occasional among rocks and rubble to depths of at least 10 m. They stay concealed among rocks, waiting for prey to come along. Are active predators which feed on crustaceans and fish (Ref. 5377). Possibly consumed in subsistence fisheries (Ref. 3254).
