Second spine of dorsal fin very strong, 2.5 times width of 3rd spine. Lateral line bifurcated on caudal fin base, extending to posterior margins of upper and lower caudal fin lobes (Ref. 40970).
Holotype collected from shallow water (1.5 m) over muddy bottom (Ref. 40970).
