Comments: Known at depths of about 155 to 350 meters. Museum: southeast of Talaga, Batangas Bay, CAS 40910 (holotype of B. randalli, 35.1 cm TL). Talaga Cove, CAS 34917. Southeast of San Pedrino Bay, Balayan Bay, CAS 34435 (Ref. 7446). Collected during the Hearst Expedition 2011 done off Batangas and Mindoro, off SW Luzon (Ref. 95664). Recorded from Leyte Gulf between 1.8 - 10 m depth (Ref. 68980).
