Taggstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt) : 5; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 16 - 17. No dark bar under eye (only a dusky spot on preorbital below front of eye), and no large dusky area on side of snout. No broad zone of dark brown spots from nape and occiput to operculum. A row of small dark brown spots, one per membrane, in outer third of soft portion of dorsal fin. Body elongate, its depth about 6.2 times in standard length. Eye moderately large, about 3.2 times in head length (Ref 42740).
