Comments: Inhabits the Lake Tanganyika basin; inshore and larger rivers (Ref. 4967). Holotype collected 'south of Usambura' (Ref. 83983) which is in Tanzania according to British Museum of Natural History (D. Geelhand, pers. comm.).
