Remarks: | Infestation commonly occurs in the intestine. Pleurogene spp. are parasites of amphibians (Gibson, 1998), it is likely that records from Bangladeshi fishes are accidental infection or temporary pseudoparasitism, a carnivorous fish having consumed an infected frog (Ref. 42533). |
