Remarks The species inhabits shallow, clear, black water (< 1 m) with moderate flow, and a substrate composed of sand, pebbles, and rocks. Its diet composed of aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates, mainly the remains of Diptera, Lepidoptera, Formicidae (Ref. 133163).
