Remarks Occurs in relatively shallow waters, under pebbles (Ref. 26335). Exhibits a cryptic lifestyle. Dwells in shallow waters of the infralittoral, occuring on rocky bottoms under stones, and in seagrass meadows occupying empty seashells. Found in rocky coastal areas in boulder fields and under solitary rocks on sand patches. Mostly attached to underside of objects. 75% of specimens found between 1.8-3.3m, with a total depth range of 0.7-5.3m. Larger specimens tend to be more present in shallow water, while juveniles were more present in deeper water (Ref. 138341).
