Remarks Inhabits exposed outer reef flats and lagoon and seaward reefs, in areas of mixed sand, coral and rubble (Ref. 9710). Juveniles occur in small tide pools. Feeds mainly on hard-shelled prey, including crustaceans, mollusks and sea urchins.
