Remarks Occurs in inshore waters of the continental shelf (Ref. 75154). Feeds on planktonic and benthic organisms (Ref. 4959), and detritus (Ref. 9137). Shoaling species. Dwells in coastal waters and estuaries. Juveniles feed on planktonic crustaceans, copepods and crab larvae. Adults feed on polychaetes, crustaceans and small fishes (Ref. 9773).
