Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 0 - 3 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Mozambique and Reunion.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-9; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-9. Sides with dark spots along midline; males with dark spot on upper pectoral base; 1st dorsal fin with dark stripe near base and a black spot at rear of fin; pelvic fins with a black band (Ref. 2798).
