Family:  Akysidae (Stream catfishes), subfamily: Akysinae
Max. size:  4.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: northern Borneo (Ref. 7050) and Mekong basin (Ref. 12693).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found at bottom depths in the middle Mekong mainstream and in smaller tributary streams. May be found in decaying vegetation. Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693).

Threat to humans:  harmless
