Family:  Ambassidae (Asiatic glassfishes)
Max. size:  10.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine, amphidromous
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Malaya, Indonesia, Borneo and Philippines. Recently recorded from the Indian region (Ref. 4833).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in coastal and brackish waters, sometimes ascends freshwaters (Ref. 4833). Feeds on invertebrates. Marketed fresh or dried and salted (Ref. 12693).
