| Diagnosis: | Small, varies from uniformly dark brown to blotched. Irregular pattern of pale marks on lower side of head and chin (Ref. 26938). | |||
| Biology: | Occurs on shallow, poorly developed coral reefs to deep rocky slopes (Ref. 7251). | |||
