Family:  Apogonidae (Cardinalfishes), subfamily: Apogoninae
Max. size:  8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 10 - 15 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Mozambique; probably Seychelles (Ref. 1623). Reported from Taiwan (Ref. 12711) and the South China Sea (Ref. 41539).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 8-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-9; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 8-8
Biology:  The three known specimens taken from about 15 m (Ref. 9710).

Threat to humans:  harmless
