| Diagnosis: | Light red with two posterior dark brown bars, the first linking rear base of second dorsal and anal fins, and the broader second posteriorly on caudal peduncle. | |||
| Biology: | Prefers coral and rocky areas with little sand. Looks very similar to Apogon planifrons which occurs in the same area. | |||
