Environment:  benthopelagic; brackish; marine
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is abundant in estuarine waters on sandy or muddy bottoms on the northern and southern coasts of Brazil. It is incidentally caught as bycatch in bottom trawls, gillnets, and seines, as well as by cast nets in mangrove swamps (Ref. 128927).
