Max. size:  14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater; brackish; marine; depth range 0 - 5 m, amphidromous
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: India. Western Central Pacific: Japan, Philippines and Indonesia. Reported from Palau (Ref. 6371), New Caledonia (Ref. 11889) and Australia (Ref. 80359).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8
Biology:  Usually found in brackish mangrove areas and in creeks and rivers, sometimes well upstream (Ref. 2847, 48637).
