Max. size:  13.8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Yunnan Province, China.
Diagnosis:  Similar to D. tetrabarbatus but differs in the following aspects: by not having a projected part of snout; more lateral line scales; longer body, 3.9-4.5 times its depth.
Biology:  Occurs in torrential waters of mountain areas, clinging to the substratum using its mouth sucking disc (Ref. 38450).
