Vertebrae: 146-146. This species is distinguished by the following characters: moderately elongate and unpatterned, with a narrow tail and anus at about mid-body, preanal length 1.8-2.1 times in TL; head 8.0-9.9 in TL; body depth at gill opening 15-19 in TL; teeth uniserial, short, and blade-like with serrations on lower margins; mean vertebral formula 4-61-144; body is uniformly yellowish gray with white margin on dorsal and anal fins; head pores distinctly white in color (Ref. 129614). |
Collected in less than 0.5 m (Ref. 10713). Usually in sand and mud bottoms to at least 15 m (Ref 90102). |
