Max. size:  35 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic-oceanic; marine; depth range 150 - 700 m
Distribution:  Cosmopolitan in Southern Hemisphere: circumantarctic (also Ref. 58452).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0. Tail filamentous.
Biology:  Juveniles were found from 150-700 m depth range in deep ocean; adults in the continental shelf and seamounts (Ref. 58452). Poorly known, rare species (Ref. 1371, 58452).

Threat to humans:  harmless
