Max. size:  16 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; brackish
Distribution:  Africa: estuaries and freshwaters of Madagascar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Eggs are guarded and fanned by the male parent (Ref. 205). Caught with all types of inshore gear. Probably sold fresh in markets.
