Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 164-192. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: caudal filament 32.1 38.7% TL; mouth 21.0-24.9% HL; eye 11.5-14.8% HL with interorbital distance 19.8-23.4% HL; distance from snout to posterior naris 21.5-27.5% HL; snout 25.0-29.6% HL; A 164-192; wide, rounded maxilla (Ref. 133454).
