Family:  Synanceiidae (Stonefishes), subfamily: Minoinae
Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 18 - 420 m
Distribution:  Indian Ocean: Somalia, Gulf of Oman, India, Myanmar, and western Thailand. Possibly occurring in Seychelles (Ref. 1623).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 9-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-14; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 10-14. Pectoral fins very long, reaching beyond base of last anal ray.
