Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Upper Amazon River basin, Peru.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 25-28; Vertebrae: 47-47. Pectoral fin with 8 branched rays; pelvic fin originating posterior to last dorsal fin ray ; maxillary barbel short, reaching base or middle portion of pectoral fin (Ref. 38033).
Biology:  Collected from a small stream, with black water and sandy bottom covered with debris (Ref. 38033).
