Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 260 - 280 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: off New Caledonia, Kaiyo Maru Seamount.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 398-398; Anal soft rays: 239-239; Vertebrae: 147-147. very slender body, relatively long snout, very slender neurocranium, prominent and sharp teeth, especially those on intermaxillary and inner row of maxilla and dentary; precaudal vertebrae 71.
Biology:  Unique female specimen, with ova, trawled at the Kaiyo Maru Seamount, off New Caledonia (Ref. 26785).
