| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-6; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-15; Vertebrae: 33-35. Like N. robertsi and N. palawanensis, has a large second ctenactinium that is bifid distally, but distinguished from those species by having a bone larger and more distinctly claw-shaped, and extent of a bony projection and fleshy profile on the ventral margin of the first ctenactinium that abuts the claw (Ref. 44355). | |||
| Biology: | Collected over a muddy bottom, in a slightly turbid irrigation ditch relatively near the sea (Ref. 44355). Fertilization is internal and eggs are attached to the substrate via adhesive filaments (Ref. 43413). | |||
