Diagnosed from its congeners by having the following combination of characters: vestigial eyes; origin of dorsal fin and pelvic fin vertically opposite each other; well-developed dorsal crest and ventral crest; entire body lacking scales and color (Ref. 78629). Description: Dorsal-fin rays iii, 8; anal-fin rays iii, 6; pectoral-fin rays i, 11; pelvic-fin rays i, 6 (Ref. 78629). | |||
